3 ways to to make your ego and limiting beliefs work for you and not against you

Ever feel like you aren't good enough? That you'll never make it to where you want to be? Trust me, you're not alone.

We all have an ego that likes to hold us back with negative thoughts and limiting beliefs. But the good news is, there are ways to hack into your ego and change the way it operates! In this blog post and the latest Youtube episode of The Life Experiment Show, I'm sharing 3 of my favorite hacks for facing your ego and changing your mindset.

If you're ready to start growing and expanding your consciousness, read on!

If you're starting leveling up if you're in the midst of it or you're super advanced, these hacks will help you

Hack # 1 - acknowledging this ego or these limiting beliefs

Whether you're in the middle of a meditation session, whether you're in the middle of putting your shoes on to go to the gym after you haven't been to the gym for years, whatever it is, your primitive brain will step in and go, what are you doing?

If you ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist, it's actually gonna make it worse. So the number one hack is to really acknowledge that friend that is a little bit annoying, but you know, it's there. It sounds super simple for some of us, this can be the hardest step because we don't want to face our ego.

Hack # 2 -show compassion to your ego and limiting beliefs

Loving your ego or loving your primitive actually helps. If you see that as an enemy if you see that as someone or something that is trying to stop you and actually put your lot of negative energy towards it, that energy's coming from you towards that.

Imagine yourself being an energy bank account. If you take energy out of your bank account to put it into something that's totally out of you is totally out of your control. Then you're just gonna be draining your bank account, your energy bank account.

When you show compassion towards these ego limiting beliefs, you're actually acknowledging that it is there the very annoying friend that is driving in your car with you is someone that needs love and is actually someone that's trying to protect you because that's the job of our ego and primitive brain. That's the job of your primitive brain is to keep you safe. So if you make sure that you see it for what it is, then you need to make sure that you just show compassion instead of anger or sadness.

Hack # 3 -show compassion to your ego and limiting beliefs.

The third thing that I wanted to do is to continue working on building your habits and routines while number one while you rewire your brain. You need to acknowledge those pop-up beliefs, those pop-up ego moments, and show self-love. You have to continue building your habits and routines. This is key! Why?

Because if you have done hack 1 (acknowledgment) and hack 2 (compassion), you will realise you are in the driver's seat, you have more power, you are the bigger person and when those voices start telling you:

‘you shouldn't do this, you're not worthy, there is someone doing this better, someone else has already done it. They are dating someone else. What's the point of being a millionaire? What's the point of living an abundant life, there are a lot of people suffering’

You have to continue your process of growth and leveling up.

I recommend looking at it this way:

Growing, being better, and becoming better is a task that happens daily and consistently. This is what I called the compound effect

You don't get a healthy body by eating healthy once a week but if you do it daily, if you do it regularly and consistently change will be faster, change will change everything. So when these limiting beliefs are popping up, just keep it up, keep up doing what you're doing. Be compassionate towards yourself. Be compassionate towards that ego. Be compassionate towards the limiting beliefs, be compassionate to what your brain is trying to do for you because it's trying to help you.

So there you have it! 3 powerful hacks for facing your ego and changing your mindset. I hope you'll give them a try and see how they work for you.
